Five-star luxury hotel Media Rotana Dubai has appointed Idin Asmitha as its new Executive Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations across the property to deliver high-quality food and culinary experiences to guests.
Originally from Indonesia, Chef Idin started his career in 1993 at the Hilton Hotel in Jakarta. With over 30 years of experience and knowledge in the hospitality industry, he has worked with many renowned brands and agencies in Indonesia and the Middle East. He has also worked with internationally renowned Michelin-starred chefs including Henrik Yde-Andersen, Igor Macchia, Michael Schlow and Giorgio Locatelli.
Before joining the team, Idin worked as an integral member of the culinary team in the lead-up to the opening of various hotels, creating exquisite dishes with a unique creative flair and passion for food.
General Manager Sherif Madkour said: “We are confident that Chef Idin will be a great asset to our culinary team and we wish him the best of luck in his new assignment.”
In his new role, Idin will oversee kitchen operations for the all-day dining, Channels and Nelson’s, Prego’s, The Terrace and private dining and banquet divisions. – trade arab news agency
