Megan Thee Stallion doesn’t play about giving back to those in need. In the past, she’s donated $8k to help cover a fan’s funeral expenses, she collaborated with Popeyes and made a six-figure donation to non-profit Houston Random Acts of Kindness, but now she’s about to take things up a notch! As she celebrates her 27th birthday, the H-Town hottie announced she has launched her own non-profit organization.
According to Peoplethe non-profit Pete and Thomas Foundation is named after the rapper’s late parents, Holly Thomas and Joseph Pete Jr., to honor the values they instilled in her. Megan shared a tweet detailing her newest accomplishment stating the non-profit organization is “ focused on uplifting and assisting women, children, senior citizens and underserved communities in Houston, Texas and across the world.”
Megan had more to say about her new endeavor in a press release. “Launching the Pete and Thomas Foundation is easily one of the most significant endeavors that I’ll ever be part of in my career,” she said. “My family raised me to help others and give back, so I’m incredibly proud to be in a position to accomplish that goal. I have a responsibility to use my platform to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those who may not have access to resources and support services.”
There are different sectors in the non-profit that focus on education, health and wellness, and housing. Under the education sector, the foundation will provide scholarships, school supplies, and resources to support students in high-need communities. The Roommates commended Megan on addressing housing issues for senior citizens, single mothers, and families impacted by financial emergencies and natural disasters.
In addition, they told her proud her mother would have been for all her accomplishments. We love to see it! Congrats Megan!
