NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Actor Melissa Joan Hart says she and her husband helped a class of kindergarteners flee a Nashville school shooting earlier this week .
In a video posted on Instagram Tuesday, Hart said Her children attend a school next to the private Christian Covenant School. She said she and her husband were at her children’s school meeting on Monday when they helped some students stay away from Shooting kills six.
“We helped a class of kindergarteners across a busy highway,” she said hoarsely, “and they were crawling out of the woods — they were trying to, um, escape a shooting at their school. So we helped all these Little children crossed the road to pick up their teachers and we helped reunite a mother with her child.”
Hart said she moved to Nashville from Connecticut where her children attend a school near Sandy Hook Elementary School, where 26 children were shot and killed in 2012.
“This is the second time we’ve been through a school shooting and our kids were very close. Luckily we’re all fine,” she said.
She said she recorded the video on Monday, but the video posted that day was too raw.
“I don’t know what to say,” she said. “Enough is enough.”
A spokesman for Hart, who has starred in sitcoms including “Sabrina the Teenage Witch,” did not immediately return a message from The Associated Press seeking further comment.
