The body believed to be that of Minnesota mother Madeline Kingsbury has been found more than two months after she mysteriously disappeared. Her ex-boyfriend Adam Fravel, 29, who is also the father of her children, was arrested on suspicion of murder. On Wednesday, June 7, he was taken into custody on charges of second-degree murder. For weeks, Flavel maintained that he had nothing to do with Kingsbury’s disappearance.
Kingsbury’s body was found in bushes along Highway 43 north of Mabel, Minnesota, police said. The area is about 45 miles south of where she was last found alive.
The Winona Police Department announced the latest news about the remains on its social media. “A Fillmore County deputy discovered human remains on Wednesday afternoon north of Mabel, Minnesota. The bodies were found in some brush next to Highway 43, according to information obtained during Madeline Kingsbury’s investigation. As a result, law enforcement officers arrested Adam Flavel on probable cause related to her disappearance,” the department wrote.
Police have yet to formally declare the remains belong to Kingsbury, and the Southern District of Minnesota Medical Examiner’s Office has not yet identified the deceased, according to the New York Post.

Kingsbury dropped off her two children, ages 5 and 2, at a daycare center in Winona on March 31 and has since disappeared. Vlabella was with her at the time. Her disappearance was described by police as “involuntary and suspicious”.
Fravel claimed at the time he left their house at about 10am but when he returned Kingsbury was not there. He said she left her phone, wallet and jacket behind. Fravel was the last to see his mother alive. More than 2,000 people have volunteered in the search for her since her disappearance. Authorities said a “numerous number of search warrants” were part of the effort.
