Authorities have urged workers at livestock farms in Abu Dhabi and veterinarians at animal clinics to notify authorities immediately if they suspect any animal has been infected with monkeypox.

In a statement on Twitter, the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (Adafsa) said: “In view of the worldwide spread of monkeypox, especially in Europe, as part of preventive measures, farm officials and all private Veterinarians, clinics and hospitals working in the department must immediately notify the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority’s Centre for Operations, Business Continuity and Cyber ​​Security as soon as they suspect an animal has been infected with monkeypox.
