The second phase, which began on June 30, added new routes from Abu Dhabi City to Baniyas Taxi Station and from Abu Dhabi City to Al Mafraq Workers City to Abu Dhabi City. New routes will also be introduced between Abu Dhabi and the city of Al Mirfa and the city of Zayed in the Al Dhafra region. The Lifeline Hospital bus station in Abu Dhabi City has also joined the Abu Dhabi Express network.
The service expansion is the result of further collaboration between ITC and several private companies.
The Abu Dhabi Express service operates on the new route 7 days a week, with timing depending on traffic to meet passenger demand. These services are direct, non-stop services that make the route the fastest way to travel, allowing passengers to get to their destination quickly, comfortably and safely.
ITC confirmed that the huge demand for the Abu Dhabi Express service is a huge impetus to develop and expand its operations in the next phase to include Abu Dhabi City, its suburbs, Al Ain City and other parts of the Al Dhafra area.
To enhance the aesthetics of the emirate’s bus station, ITC has also redesigned the minibus station adjacent to Abu Dhabi’s main bus terminal.
