More than 1 million students return to school in UAE on Monday

Public and private schools in the UAE following the Ministry of Education and Kindergarten curriculum will start the day after tomorrow (Monday, January 2, 2023).

The school will host more than one million students, as well as teaching, technical and administrative staff, marking the start of the second term of the academic year 2022-2023 after the winter break and New Year’s Eve celebrations.

The examination results for the first semester of this academic year are scheduled to be announced in stages from January 9th to 13th, according to the chronological order of the seminars. Details of the results timetable will also be announced at a later date.

According to the school calendar for the 2022-2023 school year, the second semester has 91 days of class, including 67 days of actual study and 24 days of weekly holidays (Saturdays and Sundays). Spring break for students is from March 27, 2023 (Monday) to April 14, 2023 (Friday), and spring break for faculty and staff is from April 3, 2023 (Monday) to April 14, 2023 (Friday) . ).

Public and private school students and education and administrative staff attend ministerial classes, with study commencing on Monday 17 April 2023 for term three and expected to end on Wednesday 14 July 2023.

According to the Emirates Schools Establishment (ESE), the educational process will be carried out in-person at schools for all categories of students at different stages, while distance learning will be carried out in emergency situations and among students and staff infected with COVID-19.

ESE said it made all school courses available electronically on the ministry’s platform and would distribute printed textbooks in the first week of term two, in addition to providing all 564 schools with spare computers for emergency use.

The administration of public and private schools has announced its readiness to receive students and other staff from the various emirates of the country at the start of the second semester in 2022-2023.
