Located on the Al Seef waterfront in the Meraas development on Dubai Creek, Dubai Museum of Illusions has unveiled a quartet of new illusions ready to surprise visitors and make them question their own vision.
Three years after its successful opening in 2018, the exhibits were launched as part of a site renewal that has been visited by more than 300,000 visitors from all walks of life. The perfect venue for a family outing, alternative date night or fun with friends – Museum of Illusions attracts visitors of all ages and interests on the stunning Al Seef Promenade, filled with dining and retail concepts.
The first new exhibit is the Symmetry Illusion Chamber, a room in which the entire room is perceived, even though only half is visible. A mirror running through the center creates the illusion of an entire room, allowing visitors standing in the center to see their own symmetrical reflection, with additional props to encourage greater creativity!
The Infinity Well, the second of three exhibits, consists of two pieces – one mounted on the floor and the other on the ceiling, forming tunnels in which visitors can view their own reflections indefinitely.
Tricky Rings consists of three rings attached at specific angles to a rotating base, making visitors doubt their eyes and giving the illusion that they are floating above each other.
The final exhibition to be unveiled is Mahatma Gandhi’s Following the Eye, which features sunken eyes and the sense that visitors are being followed as they move around the room.
Open Monday to Thursday 10am to 10pm and Friday to Sunday and public holidays 10am to 11pm. Dubai Museum of Illusions has a range of illusions, displays and games for visitors of all ages. Tickets cost AED 80 (US$22) for adults and AED 60 for children, while family tickets are AED 225 (two adults and two children), or AED 340 for Five tickets (assignable to adults or children).
