Zimbabwean Information Minister Senator Monica Mutsvangwa is one of the key speakers at the inaugural Global Media Conference scheduled to be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) next month.
Under the patronage of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, the three-day meeting is scheduled to take place from 15 to 17 November in Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).
It will bring together UAE ministers, communications strategists and futurists, and top media executives from around the world, representing multiple continents and regions.
A Ministry of Information official confirmed to newzimbabwe.com that Mutsvangwa will be present at the event.
Mohammed Jalal Al Rayssi, chairman of the organizing committee, said: “The speaker line-up for the conference is representative of government, multiple media platforms and academic professions.”
“Our aim is to facilitate dialogue between media practitioners and regulators, leading to effective solutions to challenges and a comprehensive roadmap for a bright future.”
Saeed Al Mansoori, Chief Executive Officer of Capital Events, added: “The distinguished speakers at the Global Media Conference, from different regions and platforms, will provide invaluable insights to members of the media.
“Bringing together top media experts from around the globe will facilitate the transfer and exchange of knowledge and ideas, thereby contributing to the growth of the media industry.”
According to the organizers, the first Global Media Conference will feature exhibitions and specialized sessions focusing on the latest developments and future of the media industry.
“The event provided an opportunity for various media organisations to discuss partnerships and collaborative ventures.
“The conference is part of the event’s agenda with the theme ‘Shaping the Future of the Media Industry’ and aims to unite the entire media industry to exchange groundbreaking ideas and cutting-edge solutions that will shape the future of the industry.”
