Dubai, UAE: The 16th edition of Najah, the UAE’s leading higher education expo, supported by the Ministry of Education, will take place at the National Museum in Abu Dhabi from 16 to 18 October, offering new features and greater accessibility for attendees Najah Abu Dhabi Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) and Najah Dubai will take place at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) from 23rd to 25th October.Registration for prospective students, parents and teachers is now open, and interested exhibitors can still visit and register www.najahexpo.com.
Founded 15 years ago, Najah attracts the participation of more than 100 universities from more than 20 countries and welcomes more than 16,000 visitors each year. The event stayed true to its mission to guide students in planning their higher education journeys through admissions counseling, scholarship opportunities, study abroad options, alumni experiences and more, and visitors continued to agree that this was an important part of their higher education planning process (96 %) and showed a very good diversity of local and international universities (93%).
A number of well-known local and international universities and institutions have confirmed their participation in Abu Dhabi Najah and Dubai Najah this year. Participating local universities include Khalifa University, Zayed University, United Arab Emirates University, Labdan College, University of Sharjah, Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, Mohammed bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, Mohammed Bin Zayed Humanities University et al.
On an international level, leading universities from the US, Canada, UK, Australia, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia and across Europe will be exhibiting. Najah is dedicated to helping students in the UAE achieve their educational and career goals. They’ll have the opportunity to discover what’s possible in higher education today—whether studying abroad or close to home. By participating, students can take their first steps toward their career goals and have a lot of fun doing it. Below is a set of new features added to enhance Najah’s student journey this year:
The Success Hub is designed to inspire and empower future students with the knowledge and tools they need to forge their personal college path. A range of interesting topics will be discussed, such as breaking the Ivy League, choosing your dream college, preparing for interviews, applying for applications, getting a scholarship or even a side hustle, honing your public speaking skills, and more. Through a series of panel discussions, workshops and keynotes.
For faculty, postgraduates or researchers aiming to improve their academic research skills, the UAE Scholars Research Centre is a trend-force-driven online platform that will connect scholars with like-minded users to seek knowledge through networking and learning . It will also give them free access to all research catalogs, publish their manuscripts in reviewed and indexed journals, and even receive funding for further development.
Designed for school counselors and educators, there will also be a School Counselor Forum that will dissect a variety of higher education topics and trends, providing valuable networking and learning opportunities for some of the biggest names in the industry.
Part of the educational journey is the joy of interacting with friends and colleagues, building synergy and chemistry along the way. Competitive or collaborative, the Board Game Club, a first-ever feature, will develop critical thinking, problem solving, analytical skills, time management and more essentials for future success.
Finally, what rocked Najah visitors this year was the Middle East Film and Comic Con (MEFCC), the region’s most exciting pop culture event. Attendees can immerse themselves in the creative world of manga, anime, movies, games and cosplay, as well as get a sneak peek at what’s coming to MEFCC 2023.
