Neil Young and Crazy Horse will release their new album World Record in November.
The first song, “Love Earth,” an ode to nature, has arrived, along with a tracklist of a 10-song collection about nature and tackling climate change.
The 76-year-old music legend has teamed up with Rick Rubin for the 2021 follow-up to “The Barn” at Studio Wizards’ renowned Shangri-La Studio.
While hijacking a recent interview with Jack White on Rick’s “Broken Record” podcast, Young joins in and teases the upcoming record, sharing that it has an “unheard of combination of instruments”
Yang replied, telling his secret to longevity in the music industry, “If they get that spirit, they’ll do something, because what else can we do?”
In July, the “Heart of Gold” producer confirmed the album was complete and that it was “different” from its predecessor.
He teased: “With this recording, something special is going on and we know we have a good one.
“It’s too early to tell because in this world things come and go. But the real magic is here to stay, and we think we have it.”
He added in a blog post on his Neil Young Archives website: “It’s the same band Crazy Horse, but the music is different from the last ‘Barn’ we offered. “Music Live! ! ! ! ! ! Two records in one year! ! ! ! ! ! ! “
World Records will be released on November 18.
