Netflix’s Upcoming Noir Thriller killer The film, starring Michael Fassbender, is heading to the streaming giant in November 2023.
Based on the French graphic novel of the same name by Alexis Nolent, this thriller stars Michael Fassbender and Tilda Swinton as the public role.The film will also star Kerry O’Malley as Dolores and Charles Parnell as Hodges, according to Screen roars.
The film is directed by Golden Globe winner and Oscar nominee David Fincher, known for critically acclaimed hits such as Gone Girl, Mank, Social Network, Zodiac, Se7enJust to name a few.
The series consists of twelve issues published between 1998 and 2013. The books tell the story of an unnamed assassin who, after years of mastering his craft, begins to break down and suffer a psychological crisis. The screenplay for the film was adapted by Andrew Kevin Walker.
According to Netflix, the film will be about “a man who is alone and ruthless, methodical and unencumbered by any scruples or regrets, a killer who waits in the shadows for his next target.”
As the killer waits, he begins to believe that he is losing his mind, even though he is outwardly “cool” and composed. The longer he waits, the worse it gets.
“A brutal, gory and stylish noir tale of a professional assassin lost in a world without a moral compass, it is a case study of a man alone, armed to the teeth and gradually losing his mind,” the synopsis reads road.
The film will be released on Netflix on November 10, 2023.
