Network International, Mastercard to launch 3DS 2 for UAE merchants

United Arab Emirates Internet International with MasterCard Launched 3-D Secure (3DS) 2 authentication solution for UAE e-commerce merchants.

Powered by Mastercard Smart interface product, 3DS 2 solution will be available on Network’s proprietary payment gateway N-Genius Onlineand will enable the company’s e-commerce merchants to reduce risk and protect their customers from payment fraud.

As online shopping continues to accelerate, merchants need the ability to reduce fraud while avoiding disrupting the consumer experience. 3DS 2 is the next generation of 3-D security technology, an authentication tool that analyzes a large number of key data points, including the merchant’s contextual data, as an advanced layer of protection against fraud.

Implementing 3DS 2 will also allow customers to benefit from an improved, frictionless payment process and better support for modern devices, helping to enhance the checkout experience and reduce cart abandonment.

Enabling the 3DS 2 solution across the company’s e-commerce network is part of Network International’s commitment to creating a safer and simpler buying experience for merchants and their consumers.

Network International Mission and Past Developments

Network International is an enabler of digital commerce in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. It consists of a group of companies that provide a complete suite of technology-enabled payment solutions, such as acquiring and processing services, to merchants and financial institutions of all types and sizes.

In July 2022, the company announced an extension Partnership with UK analytics software provider FICO Bringing fraud protection and credit management solutions to lenders. Believed to help financial service providers expand the digital economy in the MEA region, these solutions are provided by Network International in a hosted model. The company installed the FICO Blaze Advisor decision management system in its data centers, enabling it to provide managed credit management services to lenders. Banks and other credit providers can choose to use these services to perform real-time credit application approvals while controlling risk, as well as manage the portfolio of their accounts through targeted, risk-aware offers and decisions.

Later that same month, Network International entered Strategic partnership with cloud-based restaurant management technology and payment platform Foodics Enabling SMEs in the UAE Food and Beverage (F&B) industry to access Foodics’ Electronic Cash Register (ECR) and software platform. Through this partnership, the two companies aim to help provide a secure and improved customer experience, while also helping to eliminate manual entry errors and improve operational efficiency at merchant locations through integrated payment solutions.

As early as January 2022, the company Partner with Mastercard Launched Tap on Phone, a mobile payment acceptance solution for merchants, enabling them to accept and process payments directly from their smartphones.
