Selena Gomez recently got candid about her recent weight gain, and the health issues that led to it.
She tackles it all in a new video shared to Twitter.
In the video, she explains, “When I take it, I tend to carry a lot of water weight, which is normal. When I don’t, I tend to lose weight.”
“I just want to speak and encourage people who are ashamed of what they’re going through, but no one knows the real story.”
Although it took a major toll on her mental health, Gomez admits she’s more focused on the bigger picture.
I just want people to know you’re beautiful and you’re amazing,” she added in the video.
“Yes, we can feel bad sometimes, but I prefer to be healthy and take care of myself. My medications are important and I believe they help me.”
She also admitted she was “not a model” and “never will” before wrapping up.
