ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Revel Entertainment is hiring for 150 positions for its concert hall. The bar and food area are already staffed, but they say they still need ushers, bartenders and everything in between.
Danielle Chavez, general manager of Revel Entertainment, said: “I would say our first phase is fully staffed, we brought in some new people, but the core staff has always been the same.”
Chavez said the first phase of the opening will be the bar and cafeteria. They opened in March 2020 and then had to close soon due to the pandemic.
“Well, what really sets us apart is a concert venue, no one else in town no other bar no other food hall with a nearly 3,000-seat concert hall in it,” Chavez said.
Now, Revel has 150 vacancies in the second phase (concert hall). It’s close to top golf, main events and Urban Air – all entertainment venues – are also hiring now.
This new entertainment venue is the brainchild of the owners of Uptown Funk Dueling Pianos.
Chavez said the owners saw an opportunity to create a space for concerts and a place to hang out before and after shows — all in one place.
“Well, I guess it’s like shiny new pennies, right? Hopefully it’s going to be the cool place in town where people want to work, and that’s going to attract a lot of people, a lot of business that keeps people busy and want to work,” Chavez said.
Chavez said she hopes Revel will be an addition to the region rather than compete directly with other venues.
“We want this area, I mean right next to top golf, to be a recreation area again, and we offer a different product than them, so we want it to be a recreation area, not like a game,” Chavez said.
The concert venue is scheduled to open with the “Midland” band in October. Chavez told KOB 4 that it was already a sold-out show.
