His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, inspected the progress of work on the “Hanging Gardens” project in Kalba City on Thursday.
Dr. Sheikh Sultan was briefed on plans for the remaining phases of the implementation of the project, which spans 1.5 million square feet, and heard the progress of the work and the most important completed and remaining phases.
He was also briefed on plans for the expansion and development of the Al Hefaiyah Hill Conservation Centre, which included the creation of a special area for the endangered Arabian tahr animal, as well as the implementation of a cafeteria and a visitor area for everyone to view and enjoy the Landscape and animals of the area.
Dr. Sheikh Sultan directed the preparation of the land allocated for animals within the Al Hefaiyah Hill Conservation Centre and implemented it according to the best standards.
The event saw Hana Saif Abdullah Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Environment and Protected Areas Authority, Engineer Ali Saeed bin Shaheen Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Department of Public Works, Engineer Salah bin Butti Al Muhairi, Chairman of the Initiative Executive Board, and a number of officials.
