Issuance fee New UAE ID cards launched on Saturday The Federal Identity and Citizenship Administration (ICA) stated that it remains unchanged.

A high-level official stated that the new ID cards will be issued to those whose cards have expired; and that those who are lost or damaged are required to be replaced.
Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Acting Director General of ICA, advised residents to continue using the old card until it expired.
He said the new ID will help “use advanced technology” to develop population data.
The new ID strengthens the protection of invisible data (can be read through the e-link system with ICA); improved technology and process characteristics (higher chip capacity and non-touch data reading function); a longer life High-quality cards (using polycarbonate, with a lifespan of more than 10 years); combined 3D photos (laser printing function verified by date of birth); and additional fields with code definitions (professional data, issuing authority, and crowd).
