New Year’s celebrations in the UAE are always breathtaking with fireworks, drone shows and entertainment. This year, Abu Dhabi will attempt to break three Guinness World Records as part of the New Year’s Eve celebrations at the Sheikh Zayed Festival.
The organizing committee for the Sheikh Zayed Festival, currently being held in Al Wathba, Abu Dhabi, has arranged a series of world-class folklore and entertainment events and performances as part of the New Year celebrations.
The 40-minute fireworks show will strive to break three records in terms of number, time and formation. Al Wathba’s skies will also be lit up with a massive drone show using more than 3,000 drones.
This will be the first exhibition of its kind and scale in the world. There will be plenty of entertainment for children, including theater performances, circus acts, Funfair City games and other activities.
The festival features more than 60 food options spread across multiple areas, including the ‘Egrab’ food truck (meaning ‘closer’ in the Emirati dialect), kiosks, Pavilion Restaurant, Souk Al Wathba Restaurant and Arts District Restaurant, offering Huge variety of food and drink options from around the world.
Until March 18, 2023, Sheikh Zayed Festival will welcome visitors from 4pm to 12am daily on weekdays and weekends. The cultural event includes thousands of local, international and folk performances and events, creating a unique and fun destination for all members of the family.
RAK’s 12-minute fireworks
Ras Al Khaimah will usher in the New Year 2023 with a dazzling musical firework display aimed at setting a new world record. Pyrotechnic drones, nano lights, colors and shapes choreographed to electronic beats, the event will light up the night sky with a 12-minute fireworks display.
Stretching 4.7 kilometers along the waterfront between Al Marjan Island and the village of Al Hamra, visitors will be treated to a stunning musical that will once again break new records.
