New York Post says its Twitter feed, website were hacked | World News

The New York Post’s Twitter and website are hacked A spokesman confirmed on Thursday morning.

The incident is currently under investigation. Tweets on the newspaper’s account linked to pages on its website with offensive headlines, including calls for the assassination of some American leaders, as well as racist and misogynistic content.

The tweets and stories were quickly deleted by news outlets. Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation owns the New York Post.

A New York Post employee said Thursday morning’s hack of the paper’s Twitter and website was an “unauthorized act.”

Tweets on the newspaper’s account linked to pages on its website with offensive headlines, including calls for the assassination of some American leaders and racist and misogynistic content.

The spokesman said the paper was “taking appropriate action” and immediately removed “despicable and reprehensible” content from its website and social media.

Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation owns the New York Post.
