Next week Phileas Fogg will usher in a comedy night

We can all laugh more…

If you can laugh a lot and spice up your usual midweek plan in a wonderful way, then a stand-up comedy night might be just what you need. This is exactly what Phileas Fogg’s, the popular golf courseside bar and restaurant, is about to launch.

The “Word of Mouth” comedy club night will be held at Phileas Fogg’s Arena on Tuesday, September 14th at 8pm (previously the region had hosted the Euro 2020 and Cool craft beer festival). Get ready to laugh at a comedy night hosted by Liz Bains.

You will enjoy the performances of some local UAE comedians, including Steve, BB, Rushdi, Rayan, Miqdaad. The performance starts at 8 pm, and the gate of the arena will open at 6 pm. If you are hungry, you can taste dishes from all over the world (a tribute to Phileas Fogg, the literary figure who “surrounded the world in 80 days”).

Treat yourself to the All-Star American Sharing Board, which is filled with popcorn chicken, beef slides and Mac’n’ cheese. Once you have started the carbohydrate train, you might as well go all out to order seafood duck pizza. There are lighter options, such as salads and a diverse vegetarian menu, for people who are more health conscious.

Since opening in March 2021, Phileas Fogg’s has won many fans, from families to sports fans, and those looking for a place to have fun. The venue is vast, with a large indoor bar and restaurant, a children’s playground and an amphitheatre-style area: The Arena. There are epic golf course views and wonderful happy hours.
