Health insurance provider Nextcare has recorded more than 18,500 online appointments since signing an exclusive partnership with UAE-based patient engagement platform Healthigo.
The latest milestone in Nextcare’s commitment to becoming a market-leading digital service provider for patient-first insurance, the new service saves patients valuable time and allows appointments to be made during business hours.
The partnership spans the Middle East and Africa (MEA), providing fast access to medical services and effectively eliminating time-wasting calls. Healthigo’s proprietary software has been integrated into the easy-to-use MyNextcare app, enabling members to connect with more than 2,000 UAE healthcare providers and more than 21,000 certified doctors across 182 specialties.
Members in other MEA countries have access to a growing community of over 3,000 providers, based on their agreed network coverage and the current phased rollout of a full in-app appointment booking service.
Appointments can be made through the app with just a few clicks, and patients can access the doctors and providers covered by their insurance plan with just a click of the Medical Facility and Appointment button for quick and easy appointments. Users also have the option to search for doctors by specifying a specialty and location, and book a clinic or doctor that best matches their medical needs and insurance status. Alternatively, they can book online at nextcarehealth.com by searching for a provider.
Andrej Mekionis, Marketing Director, Nextcare, said: “In today’s fast-paced world, where mobile devices are a vital lifeline for accessing a wide range of services, one-touch convenience is essential to provide access to the highest quality healthcare services in the UAE.”
“Our exclusive partnership with Healthigo opens up a new digital health experience for individuals, families and companies; not only fast-tracking medical appointments, but also providing a clear path to finding doctors covered by Medicare.”
“The patient response since launch has been excellent, prompting us to accelerate the rollout of more digitally-led solutions and strategic partnerships in the coming months. Our goal is to have all insured members at their fingertips, ‘ he added. – arab trade news agency
