It’s the first day of Black History Month, and Brian Flores Coming soon! The former Miami Dolphins head coach has been trending on Twitter throughout the day after filing lawsuits against the NFL, the New York Giants, the Denver Broncos and his former team, the Miami Dolphins. In Brian’s case, he accused him of discrimination and racism, and said he was “treated with contempt and considered a person who was disobedient and difficult to cooperate with.”
However, the NFL and both teams have issued statements regarding his allegations. “The NFL and our club are deeply committed to ensuring fair employment practices and continuing to make progress in providing equitable opportunity in our organization,” the NFL said in a statement. The league continued, “Diversity is what we do. At the heart of everything we do, our club and internal leadership team spend more time on fewer issues. We will defend these baseless claims.”
The Giant’s statement read: “We are delighted and confident in the process of hiring Brian Daboll. We interviewed an impressive and diverse group of candidates. The truth is that Brian Flores has been in the conversation. To be our head coach until the very last moment. In the end, we hired the person we thought was most qualified to be the next head coach.”
Ultimately, the Broncos completely denied Brian’s claims, saying they were blatantly wrong. In a statement, the team wrote: “The allegations made by Brian Flores against the Denver Broncos in today’s court filings are flagrantly false. Our process was thorough and fair in determining our head coaching position. Most qualified candidate.” Finally, “The Broncos will vigorously defend the integrity and values of our organization and its employees from such baseless and demeaning claims.” Roommates, what do you think of Brian’s allegations?
