Roommates, we asked Nick Cannon and Alyssa Scott In this difficult time.
On Tuesday, Nick shared the news of the tragic death of their son Zen Cannon on his talk show. Nick shared that he died on Sunday due to some form of brain cancer. He shared this unfortunate news with the audience and disclosed what he and his family are currently experiencing.
Nick said on his show: “I lost my youngest son over the weekend and suffered from a disease called hydrocephalus, which is almost a malignant aggressive midline brain tumor, brain cancer, and it’s very difficult.”
He shared that around Thanksgiving, they learned that the tumor in his son’s brain began to grow faster.
Nick said he worked hard to spend time with his son last weekend. “This weekend, I made effective efforts and spent the best quality time with Zen. We woke up on Sunday and I said,’I’m like, I think I want to go to the water and be close to the sea. We have a chance to go Ocean,” he said.
Nick said that unfortunately, Sunday was the last time he could hug his son.
After sharing the heartbreaking news with the audience, Nick continued: “I don’t want to associate it with Shanda or anything of any kind. So I’m a bit back and forth about what I should do. I’ve been saying that you not only have to experience it, You have to grow through it, and you have to keep working hard.”
For the rest of the show, Nick and his therapist talk openly about the loss of his son.
Nick and Alyssa welcomed their baby boy Zen in June.
