A feature from Nicki Minaj is one of the most sought after gems in the music industry and while a plethora of artists have had the honor of working with Nicki, two of the biggest female rappers out are still waiting their turn. The City Girls have yet to work with Nicki, but it looks like a collab might be coming after the ladies squashed their beef on Wednesday.
Nicki Minaj recently sat down with the folks over at The Morning Hustle show and explained that she had no plans of working with Yung Miami and JT after they publicly expressed their dislike for her. Nicki said that while there were no hard feelings, she has no interest in working with anyone who doesn’t like her.
“So, if I as just a regular human was about to go out to dinner with you tonight, and then I get something that says ‘yo she don’t really f*ck with you like that, she was saying this and she don ‘t really like you and she actually said she hopes you never pop or flourish,’ I’m not gonna go out to dinner with you anymore because now I know that I like you but you don’t really like me. That’s just a human way to feel.”
Just hours after the interview went viral, Nicki revealed that her and the City Girls hashed things out and are moving forward! Fans also noticed both Yung Miami and JT liked Nicki’s most recent Instagram photo, signifying the ladies made peace since Nicki previously blocked them.
“Just had a great convo with @ThegirlJT & @YungMiami305. Let’s move on & make new memories y’all,” Nicki tweeted. Both ladies responded with messages of love and gratitude on Twitter.
“Sag sister! Thank you for your time, your advice! A true queen…love you!,” JT replied.
The beef has been ongoing for years now, after Yung Miami and JT publicly expressed they were definitely not Barbz. Back in 2017, JT put out various tweets, and even released a diss track about how Nicki couldn’t see her on a track.
“I just don’t like Nicki she feel she really run sh*th*e please. I want Cardi to take completely over. Push that b*tch to the back,” JT tweeted in August 2017.
While JT was serving her time in prison, Yung Miami sat down with the Breakfast Club and dodged Charlamagne’s question about whether or not she would consider working with Nicki. She eventually went on to say that the City Girls were “definitely team Cardi.”
Nevertheless, we’re glad to see things are moving in a more positive direction for Nicki, Yung Miami and JT!
