Ninja Japanese Steakhouse will offer three floors of food and entertainment in downtown

[ad_1]

Li Chaichen bought the building at 770 N. Milwaukee St. two years ago with the goal of renovating the former Catch 22 Bar and Grill (Closed in 2015) Enter Ninja Japanese Steakhouse.

Former Catch-22x

After numerous delays — many as a result of the pandemic — the steakhouse is moving closer to a firm opening date. In fact, if all goes well, Chen said he hopes to have the new bar and restaurant open by mid-January.

Ninja Japanese Steakhouse in Milwaukee will mark the third location for Chen, who also owns and operates locations in West Bend and Menomonie Falls. But it will also be the largest location of the three.

“We are very excited to open this branch,” Chen said. “A lot of our clients come to us from Milwaukee. So we decided to bring that experience to them.”

Chen said the building, which is nearing completion, will feature three distinct dining and entertainment floors, as well as a newly renovated elevator to transport guests to their destinations.

The ground floor will feature a sushi bar, a full bar and a private dining area where guests can enjoy sushi bar or hibachi offerings. The second floor will feature four teppanyaki grill stations, offering seating for customers wishing to watch entrees being served “hibachi style”. The second floor will also feature two private hibachi dining areas for corporate and private events.

Meanwhile, the basement of the building has been converted into a bar with slot machines and seven private karaoke rooms, open daily after 4:30 p.m.

The menu at Ninja Milwaukee will be similar to other restaurants, with a full sushi bar featuring sushi, sashimi, hand rolls and maki rolls, including a variety of signature rolls and specialties like uni (sea urchin) and fatty tuna.

Hibachi offerings include chicken, steak, salmon, swordfish, lobster and filet mignon, as well as a variety of side dishes such as noodles or rice, soups, salads and vegetables. There will also be lunch specials including sushi, hibachi, teriyaki or bento boxes.

Ninja Japanese Steakhouse is open for lunch and dinner, with karaoke after 4:30 pm.

Tentative hours are 11am-3pm and 4:30pm-10pm Monday-Thursday, 11am-3pm and 4:30pm-11pm Friday, noon-11pm Saturday pm and Sunday noon to 9:30 pm
