The most important meeting, held in Saudi Arabia after China brokered peace between Saudi Arabia and Iran on March 10, was aimed at furthering a “shared vision of a more secure and prosperous Middle East connected to India and the world”. .

While New Delhi kept the meeting tight-lipped, NSA Sullivan and NSA Doval held a bilateral meeting to review decisions made at their last meeting on Feb. India and the US have stepped up engagement ahead of the quadrilateral summit, with Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra scheduled to visit Washington on May 11-12 for his first dialogue with his US counterpart on strategic trade. Crown Prince Salman and NSA Sullivan reviewed progress made in cementing the truce in Yemen, according to a US readout of a key meeting in Saudi Arabia. While Sullivan and Dorval thanked the crown prince for pulling their nationals out of the war-torn Sudan, the four delegations agreed to maintain regular consultations and follow up on matters discussed and decisions made at the meeting.
