“Radiation” works
NWA Ballet Theater in partnership with New York City, Friday-Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Victory Theater at 116 Second Street in Rogers Partnering with New York City to perform in “Rainbow” by its new artistic director Stephen Wayne Creation of neoclassical and contemporary works by Rogers.
Works include “Unglued,” a neoclassical piece composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber (“Pie Jesu” from “Requiem” and music from “Cats” and “Over the Rainbow”);” Table 4 4″ is a contemporary work depicting four strangers who unexpectedly find themselves in the same place after being abandoned, set to “Violet Flame” by Gary Garcia String Quartet and “What I’ve Done ” composed and performed by the German orchestra Gnuss Cello; “Waves on the Danube”, composed and performed by Kinesthetic; “Of a Feather”, Ballad by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (Piano No. 21 Concerto, Piano Sonata No. 16); “A la Playa,” using the song “Sun Roof” by Micky Youre; and “Emerge,” a dramatic contemporary conceptual work depicting the “Looped , and Clint Mansell’s “Lux Aeterna,” performed by the Kronos Quartet.

Fort Smith “Odyssey”
“RAM Annual Invitational: An Odyssey,” the work of 77 artists reflecting the 75-year history of the Arkansas Women’s Association through the Fort Smith Art Center to the Fort Smith Regional Art Museum, will be on display at the museum through July 30, 1601 Rogers Avenue, Fort Smith. The exhibition includes photographs, stained glass, acrylics, watercolors, oils, woodcuts, crayon fibers, rayon, and a resin-sealed chocolate work (Zulema Payan’s “Think Like a Man”). The Windgate Foundation, the Udouj family and ArcBest Corp. are sponsors of this year’s show. Gallery hours are Tuesday to Saturday 11am to 6pm and Sunday 1pm to 5pm. Free admission. “Empire” Orchestra
