Oklahoma City — Oklahoma City Community College Celebrating 50 years of excellence and 25 years of delivering excellence Performing Arts Series to Oklahoma communities and states. Tickets for OCCC’s 2022-2023 Performing Arts Series are now on sale, featuring eight performances such as Kyiv City Ballet and An evening with Jose Feliciano.
“We are proud to celebrate 25 years of world-class performances and performances,” said OCCC President Dr. Mautra Staley Jones. “OCCC plays a key role in keeping the community’s arts and cultural events alive, and we’re especially honored to celebrate with this season’s All-Star lineup.”
The season starts on Thursday, September 22 An evening with Jose Feliciano Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. The concert is also part of a series of events held during the same week to commemorate and celebrate OCCC’s 50th anniversary.
“Performing arts play a huge role in community development because they can be a tool in a community developer’s toolbox to stimulate economic development,” said Robert Ruiz, executive director of external affairs. “I am very excited about Jose Feliciano coming to Oklahoma City. My wife is Puerto Rican, so half of our family is Puerto Rican. Jose Feliciano is one of the nationally known performers.”
This Kyiv City Ballet There will be two shows at the OCCC in Oklahoma on Sunday, October 9th. The performances were part of the troupe’s first U.S. tour.
Other shows include million dollar quartet christmas, Ranked Tanks, knight’s music, Set foot in Africa!, Jazz at Lincoln Center: Songs We Love and canadian brass.
“Our lineup this season has been fantastic,” said Lemuel Bardeguez, OCCC Cultural Program Director. “There’s a lot to look forward to this season and we really think everyone in this squad can find something from the fan favorites million dollar quartet christmas to Set foot in Africa!there are more. “
Season tickets for all eight shows now range from $279 to $399. Single-show tickets are also open to the public, ranging in price from $25 to $75.
The OCCC Visual and Performing Arts Center has more than 1,000 seats in its state-of-the-art theater space.
The Oklahoma City Community College Performing Arts Series presents a variety of music, dance, theater and special attractions to the community each year.
