IDAHO FALLS — A new restaurant in town serves wings, burgers and beer and offers fun entertainment for the whole family.
Off The Rails Cafe, which opened in January, is located between two railroad crossings at 465 East Anderson Street in Idaho Falls.
It is owned by husband and wife duo Tanner and Marissa Ward. Inside, you’ll see 3D and glass images of trains and smell classic American food served in the kitchen. One of the items on the menu is wings.
“We have a small wing and a large wing. The small has eight wings and the large has 12,” Tanner Ward said. “(With) the big ones, you can separate the flavors. We have barbecue, buffalo, mango habanero, and cajun. We also put cajun on our fries.”
One of the most popular items on the menu is the Philly cheesesteak.
“It’s thinly sliced steak with caramelized onions, peppers, and then provolone with a little Worcestershire sauce,” explains Ward.
Another popular item on the menu is the bacon cheeseburger.
“Unless you don’t want a double patty, all of our burgers come with a double patty. If you want, you can get one. It comes with bacon, caramelized onions, tomato, pickles, lettuce, and your choice of Cheese. We have pepper jack, provolone and cheddar,” Ward said.
Off The Rails Cafe offers entertainment such as a pool table and TVs to watch the sports.
“We have a pool table here. Families love to enjoy it with their kids. It’s a dollar a game and we hope to have dart boards here soon,” he said.
The restaurant also has a happy hour where you can buy a beer and get a free bottle from 2-5pm
