Officials: Loud ‘boom’ heard in northern Utah could be meteor

A loud bang heard in northern Utah was likely a shooting star, officials said Saturday. Reports of the bang circulated around 8:30 a.m., with people from Orem to southern Idaho posting messages that they had heard a “boom.” The Salt Lake City Tribune reports. Governor of Utah.
