Global strategy and management consultancy Oliver Wyman has appointed Adel Alfalasi as its new UAE head.
In this role, Adel Alfalasi leads Oliver Wyman’s practice across two UAE offices: Abu Dhabi and Dubai. He succeeds Anshu Vats, who held the role of Global Senior Advisor at the firm.
alfa laxi worked with Oliver Wyman More than two years, most recently as head of the Abu Dhabi office. A member of the Public Sector Practice, he is an expert in large-scale transformation and public sector excellence.
Alfalasi is also responsible for leading Oliver Wyman’s Consultant Development Program in the UAE, a 6-12 month program that helps develop future talent by giving UAE graduates hands-on consultancy experience to kick-start their careers.
Before joining Oliver Wyman, Alfalasi was in McKinsey & Company (in its Dubai office), and prior to that, he was Executive Director at the UAE Prime Minister’s Office.

In addition to his role, Alfalasi sits on the board of Injaz, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship in the Arab world, and is currently co-authoring a book on the New Silk Road with Hong Kong-based Oliver Wyman partner Ben Simpfendorfer.
In addition to the UAE, Oliver Wyman has Middle East offices in Doha and Riyadh.
