Abu Dhabi, UAE: Abu Dhabi Maritime announced today that it has passed the Jet Ski Licensing and Inspection Centre in Mussafah for more than 1,000 passengers since transitioning from Abu Dhabi Police to Abu Dhabi Maritime in December 2021 motorboats are licensed.
Powered by AD Ports Group’s Maqta Gateway, the Abu Dhabi Maritime Authority website and dedicated portal facilitate easy access to licensing services, providing a streamlined process for new motorboat licensing, license renewal and technical inspection bookings. The service is free and time-saving, with the entire process taking only half an hour.
Established under an agreement between AD Ports Group and the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT), Abu Dhabi Maritime is tasked with implementing efficient maritime services and state-of-the-art infrastructure.

Documents required for a jet ski license include a jet ski ownership certificate, a valid insurance policy and an Emirates ID.
To complete the licence issuance, applicants should book an inspection at the location of their choice to ensure the vehicle meets Abu Dhabi Maritime’s technical requirements, including the use of all safety and security kits on board.
