P4P Entertainment to host boxing match at Sames Auto Arena on Saturday

P4P Entertainment’s acquisition of Sames Auto Arena will come to a close on Saturday as the boxing company hosts 11 intense bouts that will put the Laredo community on its feet and feature some special guests.

Three legendary retired Hall of Fame boxers will be in attendance at the event, including four-time world champion Roberto “Manos de Piedra” Duran as well as Laredo’s own Orlando and Gabby Ca Nizares. Duran was the first boxer to hand Sugar Ray Leonard his first career defeat.

“I’m excited to deliver on the promise of bringing a Hall of Fame boxer and a Las Vegas vibe to the Gateway City,” Martinez said. “Roberto and I have teamed up to bring Laredo an unprecedented Great boxing match.”

The Gateway City will be well represented in the ring when nine local fighters step into the ring. Laredo’s own Felix “Gatito” Garcia will face Jose “El Cuate” Cassiano of Saltillo, Coahuila, in the main event. Garcia fought at home, putting his perfect 5-0 record at risk.

In the co-main event, Laredo’s “El Gallo Giro” Jorge Ramos will take on San Antonio’s Joshua “Spotlight” Montoya for the ABF title. Laredo’s Mario Jaramillo, also in contention for the ABF title, will take on Coahuila’s Bruno Pola.

Houston’s Fabian “El Mexicanito” Arredondo will also take on Steven Cruz of Reynosa, Tamaulipas. Jose Cardenas of Laredo will face Hugo “El Tigre” Castaneda of Reynosa, while Juan “El Tigre” of Carrizo Springs Melo “Melo” Garcia will face McCarran’s Ricardo Mena.

Laredo’s Hector “Tito” Ferrero meets Houston’s Rafael Munoz, while a pair of Laredo brothers also fight on the same card. Jorge Ramos is the co-main event, while his younger brother Alex “El Bazooka” Ramos is playing with San Antonio’s Frank Brown ( Frank Brown earned his reputation in battle.

The rest of the close match included Del Rio’s Jesus “Panterita” Martinez against Laredo’s Jaime Guevara, while Laredo’s Nicolas Molina took on Jeremaine “Chico” of Curro. “Whittington. Laredo’s Jesus “Chuy” Maldonado takes on Harlingen’s Keith “Coco Loco” Foreman in the opening match.
