Pakistan and China have decided to jointly launch three new projects on top of the existing multi-billion-dollar China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), as the all-weather allies seek to strengthen bilateral ties in various fields including agriculture, health and medical care. science and technology.

The three new projects are the China-Pakistan Green Corridor (CPGC), the China-Pakistan Health Corridor (CPHC) and the China-Pakistan Digital Corridor (CPDC), Pakistani Ambassador to China Moinur Haq told China Economic Net (CEN) in Beijing. ), The New International reported on Saturday.

The first one will focus on agri-environment, food security and green development, the second one will help Pakistan improve efficiency in the healthcare sector, while the third one will boost Pakistan’s IT industry, it said.

Ambassador Haq said that Pakistan has rich talents and human resources in different fields of science and technology, and believes that technology based on information technology is very important to Pakistan.

“In software development, we will be an important source of help for China. So we are working together to establish training centers in Pakistan to develop software in different IT fields,” he said.

Huck is very serious about the new projects that are being started.

The report quoted Pakistani sources as saying that the projects may be officially launched during the visit of Pakistani Prime Minister Sheikh Baz Sharif to China next month at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.

The schedule and related details of the trip are being prioritized through diplomatic channels.

It said the new corridor will be a source of strengthening Pakistan-China relations and will provide a new unshakable bond for the proximity of the two countries.

Sources cautioned that the scope of Pakistan-China friendly cooperation will help Pakistan overcome its economic complexities and begin to embark on the path of financial self-sufficiency.

Launched in 2015 to link Gwadar port in Pakistan’s Balochistan province with China’s Xinjiang province, CPEC is the flagship project of China’s ambitious multi-billion-dollar Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). India opposes CPEC as it was laid through Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK). The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor was launched in 2015 when President Xi visited Pakistan. The project, which has completed billions of dollars worth of energy and infrastructure projects, has been called a “game changer” by senior officials from both countries.
