Pakistan, UAE share deep brotherhood: Alzaabi

Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Al-Dhabi, UAE Ambassador to Pakistan, said that Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates enjoy long-standing, deep-rooted cultural and historical ties based on strong brotherhood.

He expressed these sentiments in a speech on the 51st National Day of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) organized by the embassy at a local hotel. This happy gathering is a clear testament to the passion and affection between our two brotherly peoples and governments. In fact, I see this event as fifty-one celebrations of our friendly and cooperative relationship, and I believe that this brotherhood will be further strengthened in various fields and in a wider perspective.

This year’s celebrations were celebrated in the presence of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Vice President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Ruler of Dubai Held under visionary leadership, they adopted the “50th Anniversary Principles” as guidelines for a new phase of growth and development over the next 50 years. The past year’s miraculous achievements in the field of development coincided with the UAE’s unprecedented success Together, the UAE is not only capable of hosting international events, but has successfully hosted Expo 2020 with the strong participation of more than 192 countries and thousands of multinational companies and leading enterprises.

The economic strategy adopted by the UAE stimulates diversification of the economy away from oil and is committed to building an economy based on knowledge and diversity, underpinned by scientific and technological advancements and powered by investments in the digital and circular economy and foundation-based sectors Artificial intelligence and the fourth industrial revolution. The UAE believes that the future of regional security depends on strong multilateral partnerships and a shared commitment to achieving stability and prosperity through peaceful political and economic means. The CEPA will continue to pave the way for greater opportunities for the people of the region, opening the way for significant economic development in the Middle East, accelerating and enhancing cross-border trade, and improving the ease of doing business across the region, as well as in Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America and other markets.

The United Arab Emirates has emerged as a major trading hub, aware of the need for prosperity and the free flow of goods and services as fundamental principles of any modern, peaceful and forward-looking state, and the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement is the latest move in this regard. The UAE has been working on strengthening international partnerships over the past five years and is making steady progress, despite global political, security, economic and health changes, the UAE’s relations with all countries are characterized by continuity, moderation, diplomacy and wisdom on the ground and use this to find common ground to find solutions to regional and international challenges and conflicts.

The UAE has deep and distinguished relations with all nations, which reinforce and reflect its principles based on openness, partnership, building bridges, working to consolidate peace and the common good of nations and peoples, thereby contributing to international peace and security.

Affirming that we must promote a culture of tolerance, openness, women’s empowerment, modernity and rationality, which do not conflict with the tolerant values ​​of Islam, the UAE will continue to oppose extremist ideologies and those who use violence to achieve their political goals. As from Home to more than 200 nationalities of various ethnic and religious backgrounds, the UAE has firmly committed to upholding human rights and has made steady progress in this area. In 2022-2024, for the third time in the history of the UAE, the United Nations Human Rights Council was granted membership. The United Arab Emirates is committed to international aid based on the principles of humanity and solidarity, stating, “The UAE’s foreign humanitarian aid is central to its vision and moral responsibility to its less fortunate people. This year, the fraternal people of Pakistan have faced territorial rains and devastating floods caused by global climate change, claiming more than 1,700 precious lives, destroying lives, livestock and land. As the UAE’s wise leadership remains first in times of national crisis and natural disasters, providing aid and humanitarian support to the brotherly people of Pakistan in times of need, it remains the largest provider of relief assistance to flood victims.
