In a shameful act that sparked outrage, a security guard in Karachi, Pakistan, was seen beating a pregnant woman. He has now been arrested, according to local media.

The guard reportedly assaulted the woman outside an apartment building in the Gulistan-e-Jauhar area, pakistan geo news reportCCTV footage shared on social media showed the security guard arguing with the woman before he slapped her. The woman fell to the ground and when she tried to stand up, the man kicked her in the face.

In the first informational report, Geo News reported that a woman working as a domestic worker in Noman Grand City, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, said she was pregnant. According to her, at 3 am on August 5, she asked her son to deliver meals. However, when her son tried to enter the apartment, the union’s office chiefs – Abdul Nasir, Adil Khan and Mahmoud Khalil – barred him from entering.

“When I came down to ask, Adil got angry and started abusing me. He then asked the security to beat me. I was 5-6 months pregnant. When he beat me, I lost consciousness from pain,” she was quoted as saying .

The police have opened a case and detained the security guard.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister of Sindh, Murad Ali Shah, has become aware of this. “How dare the guards raise their hands violently against that woman?” he demanded.
