Paris Hilton has finally decided to go public with her encounter with Harvey Weinstein, according to reports.
According to the hotel heiress, Weinstein once followed her back to the bathroom cubicle during the 2000 Cannes Film Festival.
“It scared me, it freaked me out,” she admitted as she recalled Glamor Britain.
“He came up to the table and said, ‘Oh, do you want to be an actor?’ I said, ‘Yeah, I really want to do a movie.’ I was a teenager, so I was really impressed with him. I was like, ‘Oh my god, Harvey Weinstein is so cool!’ He said, ‘Well, we should have a meeting. You can come to my room and read the script… I just don’t want to, so I never did Pass.”
The next night, at the AIDS Research Foundation gala, Weinstein approached her again and said, “Do you want to be a star?”
That’s when “he was trying to open the door and he was knocking, knocking,” Hilton said. “I wouldn’t open it because I was like, ‘I’m in a booth, why are you coming in here? And I just wouldn’t open it.'”
Ultimately, Hilton claimed he was escorted away by security.
“He said, ‘It’s my party!’ It was crazy. It freaked me out, it freaked me out.”
Asked if she’d heard any rumors about him in the past, Hilton added, “It’s just someone so powerful in Hollywood that everyone is scared.”
“I don’t even want to say anything because I’m like, ‘I don’t want people to be mad at me for what I say’ because it’s a well-known thing. Just close your eyes.’”
However, shortly after her admission was made public, a Weinstein representative came forward to mock her allegations and claimed, “That never happened.”
The representative even said: “He has always treated Paris Hilton with the utmost respect and kindness and has always believed that their relationship is a good one. AmFar has many people and this has been proven wrong. Unfortunately, Paris Hilton Liz Hilton is trying to get into the current news cycle with his name and another creative story. Too bad it’s too convenient and seems too trendy to just say that without any backing.”
