Between August 12 and 22, more than 1 million passengers are expected to use the airport.
Passenger traffic at Dubai International Airport will soar in the coming days, as more than 1 million passengers will travel between August 12 and 22, and the daily peak on weekends will average 100,000 passengers.
Dubai Airport said in a statement on Tuesday that this may be the busiest weekend for the hub so far this year.
It urges travelers to keep abreast of the latest travel regulations and plan their journey for a smooth travel experience.

The increase in passenger traffic is due to families returning to the UAE during the summer vacation and the UAE government’s relaxation of travel restrictions on certain countries.
The UAE has recently relaxed travel regulations for inbound and transit passengers from some Asian and African countries, including India. At the same time, the United Kingdom upgraded the UAE to a list of “amber” countries, opening up travel for certain categories of travelers.
“We are prepared and are doing everything we can to ensure that passengers have a safe and smooth experience at DXB. However, given the recent changes in travel requirements, this usually varies depending on the starting point and destination of the journey. Passengers can follow some simple Rules and tips to change their airport experience,” said Essa Al Shamsi, Vice President of Terminal Operations at Dubai Airport.
“Considering that the number of passengers in the arrival area will increase significantly during this period, it is important that those who greet and greet arriving passengers are not crowded on the road in the forecourt of the terminal building, and that they can use the parking lot or valet comfortably Parking service,” he added.
Dubai Airports said it is working closely with its service and business partners — including 55 international airlines, more than 100 food and beverage and retail stores, and control and health departments — to ensure the well-being and comfort of customers.
Considering that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, global travel requirements have changed in recent weeks and months, Dubai Airports strongly urges all customers to:
> Be sure to contact their airline for information about the specific travel requirements of their journey.
> Confirm their flight arrival/departure terminal before arriving at the airport.
> Ensure that they understand and meet the travel requirements of the destination country (including negative PCR test report before the start of the trip).
> Use the ample designated parking area or valet parking service at the airport to receive guests comfortably. Parking to pick up guests on the arrival front yard is a traffic violation and can cause congestion inside and outside the terminal.
> Make sure they wear protective face shields at all times and keep their physical distance at the airport.
> If you experience any symptoms of Covid-19, avoid traveling or visiting public places and seek medical advice.
> Before heading to the airport, make sure their travel documents (passport and visa) are updated and valid.
> Say goodbye at home and avoid crowding in the front yard of the terminal.
