Well, Abu Dhabi and Dubai airports offer 24-hour passport renewal assistance for citizens.

Five channels designated by the UAE Digital Government are available to UAE citizens who wish to apply, renew or replace lost or damaged UAE passports.

According to Digital Government, the Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs at Abu Dhabi and Dubai airports offers a 24-hour visa renewal service there. This service applies to citizens whose visas are no longer valid and are lost or otherwise destroyed while traveling abroad. In such cases, GDRFA recommends contacting the UAE embassy or consulate for a replacement.

Passport expired or damaged Stuck at the airport? Abu Dhabi and Dubai airports will update or assist you with changing to a new airport in as little as 10 minutes. Don’t worry, all your passport related issues will be taken care of within minutes to keep citizens traveling safely.

The digital government stipulates that passports are valid for 5 years. Therefore, to apply for a new passport, an individual needs to submit the following documents at the airport.

1. Emirates ID (original or photocopy)
2. A recent photocopy of the applicant
3. Family tree or its copy

The heart of the airport welcomes hundreds of tourists and provides them with the services they need around the clock. They also applied visitor count limits over time. This decision was made to provide passengers with less waiting time and faster service. So now if you are returning to Dubai or Abu Dhabi airport, you can easily renew your passport without worry.
