Roommates, one thing about some landlords, they willRead your work order request, but will not hesitate to find anything to eat your deposit. Earlier this week, Twitter user @becca__lr shared her story about the former landlord, creating a viral moment and thus inspiring hundreds of people to do the same.
“I remember when I moved out of my first studio apartment, I left a box of chocolates and some nice coffee next to me as a gift to the building manager, and was charged 20 [euros] Used to remove remaining personal belongings,” Beka wrote on Twitter.
Obviously, for renters on the other side of the ocean, this statement about happy landlords is correct. From the United States to Australia and the United Kingdom, landlords are charging these new moving out fees. Here are some horror stories shared on short format platforms that stand out!
Garbage bag
Twitter user Spooky PZY (@dodginsuckas) will not leave any additional cleanup tools next time.
“You will never do well! I cleaned it up and left an extra trash bag because I never used it and was charged $200 because they said that it takes the entire trash bag to throw away a trash bag. “They wrote on Twitter.
Hand-Me-Downs is not very smooth
It’s not that the landlord forgot to store his belongings in the property!
Twitter user Ned Ryerson wrote on Twitter: “After we moved out, the landlord asked for an extra month’s rent.” “For the furniture left in the basement. This is his mother’s. Furniture, he put them in the basement when we moved in.”
Who put this hole here?
Twitter user @lostwanderfound talked about his landlord trying to charge him for doors that already exist.
The user wrote: “I asked the landlord to try to steal my deposit because’there is a hole in the door’.” “It was a cat door. It was there when I loved it.”
Old you, new me
Now, Wayment, not the landlord, is trying to sneeze from Twitter user @skrink_LaDue and squeeze out some extra coins.
“Let the landlord buy my apartment in the middle of my lease, and then try to keep half of my deposit, because he said he didn’t know what I looked like when I moved in.
