Petrofac wins Adnoc’s $700m gas plant EPC contract

Petrofac, a leading international service provider to the energy industry, has contracted Adnoc GasProcessing, a key subsidiary of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc), to undertake a major new project, procurement and construction (EPC) projects. Habshan Complex, west of Abu Dhabi.

The contract, awarded to Petrofac Emirates, is worth approximately USD 700 million and involves the provision of EPC services for a new gas compressor plant.

Comprising three gas compressor trains, associated utilities and power systems, the new plant will support ADNOC in significantly increasing gas production at the Hab Hills complex.

Petrofac first established operations in the UAE in 1991 and has developed a large staff over the years to support regional and international projects.

Committed to delivering domestic value, Emiratization is a key business priority and Petrofac is actively promoting current career opportunities, Petrofac said.

Tareq Kawash, CEO of Petrofac Group, said: “We are delighted to have been chosen by Adnoc, one of Petrofac’s longest standing customers, to undertake this important new EPC project in our home market of the UAE.”
