Who needs boosters and when?
The communication from the Abu Dhabi Media Office specifically refers to those who “have received the second dose of the national medicine vaccine six months ago”.
We have also received confirmation that currently those who have received two doses of Pfizer or any other UAE approved vaccines (including Oxford-AstraZeneca and Sputnik) will not need a third dose of any vaccine to activate the Alhosn Green Pass.
The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) may update this exemption in the future.
What’s the deadline
The deadline for the booster injection is September 20, 2021. A 60-day grace period for new residents was also announced.
What boosters are available? How to book?
Boosters from Pfizer and Sinopharm are available. The Abu Dhabi Telemedicine Center (via Mubadala) has also approved the provision of Pfizer to those who have previously received two doses of Sinopharm.

Once you have received the booster injection and PCR test, you will remain green for 30 days.

Tourists are currently not eligible for the Covid-19 vaccine in the UAE.
