Philippines Getting New International Airport

Philippine Officials: New International Airport Planned Away from Manila. A new international airport is in the works for the Philippines, according to local government officials who announced this on Saturday.

This airport will be strategically located away from the capital city of Manila, aiming to provide direct access to the southern Philippine islands for travelers worldwide.

The proposed site for this project is in Mindanao’s province of Maguindanao del Norte.

The government of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) has revealed that an assessment of the potential site has already been carried out earlier this month.

The site is situated in Barangay Tambo, Sultan Mastura, Maguindanao del Norte, as reported by local media.

Mayor Bong Panda of Sultan Masura expressed his optimism about this development, stating that it would lead to job creation and have a significant positive impact on the local community’s livelihood.

The BARMM has determined that the proposed location is an “optimal site” for the new Cotabato Airport.
