The talks are an important step for Iraq, and Iraq hosted the meeting to portray itself as a neutral mediator in the crisis in the region.

The ruler of Dubai led a UAE delegation to the Republic of Iraq to participate in a regional summit aimed at easing tensions in the Middle East.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, was accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Sheikh Mansour, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Mohamed Mohammed. Bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs of Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Anwar Gargash, Foreign Adviser to the President of the UAE.

Sheikh Mohammed arrived in the Iraqi capital on Saturday to attend the Baghdad Cooperation and Partnership Conference.

Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Khadimi was one of the first people to win the Vice President of the UAE.

Sheikh Mohammed confirmed on Twitter that he had arrived in Baghdad and shared a set of photos, praising the Iraqi capital as a “home of peace… and human wisdom.”

Iran is one of the invitees. Saudi Arabia has indicated that it will be represented by its Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan.

It is expected that Egyptian President Abdul Fatah Sisi and Jordanian King Abdullah and French President Emmanuel Macron will participate. France is co-organizing this meeting with Iraq, which is expected to discuss the regional water crisis, the war in Yemen and the collapse of Lebanon.
