A photo reveals huge progress in construction Abu Dhabi Natural History Museum.

The Abu Dhabi Ministry of Culture and Tourism and museum developer Mirar said the 35,000-square-meter project is now 25 percent complete.

“With work underway on this pioneering institution, the realization of our vision for the Saadiyat Cultural District is one step closer.”

The head of tourism said the museum will be completed by the end of 2025. Highlights will include the world-famous 11.7-meter-tall “Stan” Tyrannosaurus Rex This is one of the best preserved fossil Late Cretaceous Predator and the Murchison meteorite that landed in Australia in 1969. The museum will also have a scientific research center.

The Abu Dhabi Natural History Museum was designed by architecture firm Mecanoo and its shape reflects natural rock formations. Miral’s chief executive Mohamed Al Zaabi said the museum would become an “iconic cultural landmark”.

“Abu Dhabi Natural History Museum will provide visitors with a rich cultural experience, helping to position Sadiat as a preferred destination and Abu Dhabi as a cultural, artistic and creative hub,” said Mr Al Zaabi.

“It also supports the realization of the Saadiyat Vision 2025, which aims to increase the number of domestic, regional and global tourists and support the development of Abu Dhabi’s tourism ecosystem.”

The museum is located in the Saadiyat cultural district, which is also here Louvre Abu Dhabi.
