Pierce Brosnan has been granted a restraining order against a woman who was “initially looking for Dick Van Dijk”.
The ‘Golden Eyes’ star filed documents seeking to protect himself, wife Keeley Shea-Smith and sons Dylan and Paris from an unnamed woman who he claims has been “stalking” “He and his family, leading him to multiple calls to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department asking them to remove her from his Malibu property.
Pierce explained how the alleged encounter began, according to court records obtained by The Blast.
He wrote: “She initially said she was looking for Dick Van Dijk (she has his tattoo on her arm) but when she found me and my family she was living in front of our house…
“She gave me two strange notes saying she needed $1,500 for new tires and a drawing she drew of me.”
Although the woman contacted the 69-year-old star and allegedly refused to leave the area when asked, police advised him to apply for a civil restraining order as they couldn’t move just because someone was parked in the home.
Pierce followed police advice and applied for an order, which means officers could arrest her if she continues to wait outside his home.
A has just approved the motion, which prohibits the woman from “directly or indirectly” contacting the “Mamma Mia” star and her family, while the order also includes any form of harassment against Pierce, Keeley and their son.
The alleged stalker must stay at least 400 yards from the family’s house and any school or work associated with them.
A formal hearing will be held on October 25, when a request to extend the restraining order for three to five years will be made.
