Al Qana, a 2.4 million-long waterfront destination, aims to lure gamers to the UAE capital by offering something for everyone.
Pixoul Gaming, a virtual reality (VR) and esports hub, will open at Al Qana in Abu Dhabi later this year. It is expected to open in the next few months, but no specific date has been announced.
Pixoul Gaming will open an esports academy in the Middle East and will host global gaming tournaments in its 800-seat arena. The academy also includes an esports bar, a gaming community typical of a sports bar.
Pixoul Gaming is an integrated, immersive entertainment destination through its well-designed virtual reality gaming area. And the Esports Academy provides a dedicated training facility for serious esports athletes.

Pixoul Planet VR will partner with Robocom VR to offer 10 virtual and augmented reality games ranging from first-person shooters to roller coasters, paragliders and escape rooms. They’ll last 6 to 10 minutes and feature the region’s first fully wireless headset in an open-world, cross-platform virtual world.

The flagship experience, Pixoul Planet VR includes 10 different virtual and augmented reality games, ranging from shooters and virtual roller coasters to guided spaceship journeys to the new interstellar planet Pixoul.
In the Middle East’s first esports academy, coaches will be able to train individual gamers and teams and provide tips on how to improve their skills. It will also invite champion professional gamers for one-on-one training with students.
The Dean of the Academy will oversee instructional programs and accreditation, and ensure consumers have access to responsible gaming tools and knowledge.
