Things to do on the North Olympic Peninsula this weekend include bird watching, music and theater.

• 2023 BirdFest – BirdQuest GamesSponsored by the Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce and will run until April 30th. Participants were challenged to find 15 or more of the 20 bird sculptures from Carmen Maxwell’s Sequim High School ceramics class and match them to businesses that hide them, then vote for their favorite student artwork .

• Community Choir Port Townsend and East Jefferson County will pay tribute to the music of the Broadway stage in two concerts tonight at 7pm and Sunday at 3pm.
“Let us entertain you” performances will be held today at First Presbyterian Church, 1111 Franklin Street, Port Townsend and Lutheran Redeemer Church, 45 Redeemer Road, Chimakum.

• “The True Story of Robin Hood” will perform Sunday at the Port Angeles High School Performing Arts Center at 304 E. Park Ave. The Port Angeles High School Drama Society will present this spoof tonight and Saturday at 7pm and Sunday at 2pm.
General admission is $10, seniors 60 and older are $5, and children under 10 are free. Tickets can only be purchased by cash or check at the door.
• Corvidae Printers Guild Showing work at Uptown Dental Clinic, 642 Harrison Street, Port Townsend, on July 6th. Free admission.
• Storytelling aloud slam Scheduled tonight at 7pm in Bob’s Studio, the theme is Risky Business. Doors to Studio Bob, located upstairs at 118½ E. Front St. in Port Angeles, will open at 6:30 pm with performances starting at 7 pm. Tickets are $12 in advance, available online at www.outloudstoryslam.com, and $15 at the door, when available; cash and credit cards accepted.
• “REDD” Continues tonight and Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 1:30pm at the Key City Theater at 419 Washington Street, Port Townsend. Playwright Kat Agudo will speak after Sunday’s matinee. Tickets are available at www.keycity publictheatre.org.

• Friends of Fort Worden Today’s annual meeting from 5pm to 8pm will mark the group’s 30th anniversary. The meeting will be held at Commons, 200 Battery Way; the group has not met since 2019.
The party will include a presentation on Admiralty Bay seabirds by Dennis Paulson, who was director of the Slater Museum of Natural History at the University of Puget Sound for 15 years.

• Life and Death Guild will present “Living Meaningfully; Dying Peacefully: How Death Affects Our Lives,” Saturday, 9:30 am to 1:30 pm. A free workshop will be held at the Quimper Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 2333 San Juan Ave.

• Friends of Fort Townsend Cynthia’s Daily will feature “Ambassador Owl and the Friendly Woodpecker” on Saturday at 10 a.m. during the group’s annual meeting at the Friends Barn at Fort Townsend State Park, 1370 Townsend Road, Old Fort.
The director of Discovery Bay Wild Bird Conservation will be accompanied by several owl ambassadors daily to discuss the natural history of the park’s owls and woodpeckers.
• Genealogy lectures Available to the Clallam County Genealogical Society Saturday at 10 a.m. in person and via Zoom. Debbie Smyth will publish “DNA Doesn’t Lie, But It Needs Help to Find the Truth.”

• Friends of the Jefferson County Library There will be a book sale on Saturday from 10am to 3pm. The auction will be held at the Mobile Book Garage near the Jefferson County Library at 620 Cedar Ave.
The auction will include used books, audiobooks, DVDs and music CDs. All proceeds benefit the Library District.
• Excess sales It will be hosted by the Northern Peninsula Builders Association on Saturday from noon to 3pm. The annual sale will be held at the Clallam County Fairgrounds, 1608 W. 16th St., Port Angeles.
The auction will feature a selection of new and used building materials, home improvement and gardening items. The Society will offer limited pickup services for donations of marketable items; to arrange delivery or pickup, please contact the Society at 360-452-8160.
• First Responder Day Cub Scout 4490 will be at Squim Meadows Farm, 290 Macleay Road, Saturday from 1pm to 4pm.
Participating agencies include Clallam 2 Fire-Rescue, Sequim Police Department, Clallam County Sheriff’s Office and the State Department of Natural Resources. Clallam County Fire District 4 from Joyce will also be there with its smoke trailer.
• UFO meeting Maurene Morgan will present “UFO Estimates: It’s All About Who Defines Reality” on Saturday at 1pm. Morgan will speak at the Olympic UFO Conference at the Port Townsend United Center, 3198 San Juan Avenue. Morgan is the director of the Washington State Mutual Aid UFO Network.
This is the group’s first meeting since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic; members plan to continue meeting on the third Saturday of each month. Small donations are requested to help cover venue costs.

• End of life plan Will be hosted by volunteers from End of Life Washington who will be presenting “End of Life Readiness” on Saturdays from 1pm to 3pm. Free demos will be held at the Olympic Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 1033 N. Barr Road.
Participants will learn about advance directives, including new dementia directives; choosing a health care surrogate; and physician orders for life-sustaining treatments.
The second part of the presentation will cover Washington’s Death with Dignity Act and other end-of-life options, such as voluntary cessation of eating and drinking.

• community dance It is scheduled for 7pm on Saturday at Brigid’s Loft, 647 Washington Street, Port Townsend. Dave Thielk will call the Appalachian Blocks, Scrolls, Circles, Mixer and Contra sets.
Music will be performed by Band-Its including Bobbi Nikles, Len Feldman, Katya Kirsch and Roland Nikles.
Admission is $10 per person and $20 per family.
