[ad_1]

Prime Minister Modi will meet with top leaders including President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

New Delhi:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will start his state visit to France tomorrow with a stop in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Prime Minister Modi will meet with top leaders including President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This is the second time that Prime Minister Modi has transited through the UAE since 2022. Last year, the prime minister met President Al Nahyan on his way back from the G7 summit in Germany.

The prime minister has visited Egypt and Saudi Arabia in recent years, and National Security Adviser Ajit Doval has hosted Saudi Arabia’s top security official, Mohammad bin Abdul Karim Al Isa, in New Delhi.

Another area of focus during the Prime Minister’s short stay will be the India-France-UAE Trilateral Initiative, a key strategic partnership formed in September 2022 on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. The three countries agreed to cooperate on nuclear and solar energy, climate change and biodiversity.

This will be Prime Minister Modi’s fifth visit to the Gulf state since he took office in 2014.

Prime Minister Modi will visit France this week for a landmark visit. He will be the guest of honor at Friday’s Bastille Day celebrations, which marked the start of the French Revolution in 1789.

A major defense deal and extensive bilateral talks are expected to be highlights of the trip.
