I urge everyone to express their views peacefully in compliance with the rule of law. Violence and property destruction have no place in our democracy. The White House and federal authorities have been in contact with the Office of Governor Evers to prepare for any outcome of this case. I have spoken with the Governor this afternoon and provided support and any necessary assistance to ensure public safety. “
